Of the latter group, TikTok star Alix Earle just made her first-ever Grammys debut on February 4, 2024; she hit the red carpet in a classic, floor-length black dress with a cowl neckline, which she accessorized with silver jewelry. She chose a deep side part to keep the look feeling glamorous, but not over-the-top. “Side-part Alix is making a comeback,” she said. Overall, the hairstyle is more relaxed than the old Hollywood curls that dominated at wedding ceremonies across the country in 2023—and we think Earle’s ‘do is a softer, but still-formal style answer to last year’s trend.

The influencer also took a soft, elegant approach to her makeup by Shelby Smith, which she documented step-by-step on TikTok. She opted for a glowing, fresh-faced look—”nothing too crazy,” she told her fans in the video, before panning to a table full of makeup in front of her setup. Her beauty team helped bring her glam, which focused on bronzed, luminous skin (partly thanks to a 1 a.m. spray tan, which she got right after landing in Los Angeles the night before), a simple eye (she did her own mascara!), and rose-pink glossy lips, together—and while Earle was undoubtedly red-carpet ready by the time they finished, she easily could have walked down the aisle, too. Though Earle was beyond pleased with the result (“I love it,” she told her beauty team while filming), she’s simply thrilled to be exactly where she is right now. In another video she posted to her account, she opened up about what it feels like to attend an event as major as the Grammy Awards. “I started crying,” she said. “Because I was like, ‘What is my life? What is going on right now, how am I on my way to L.A. to go to the Grammys?’”
