Ever since Alix Earle started posting videos on TikTok in 2020, documenting her life at the University of Miami and eventually popularizing her “Get Ready With Me” (GRWM) series, she’s been a social media icon—one whose life her 7.1 million TikTok followers are deeply invested in. According to an episode on her podcast, Hot Mess With Alix Earle, in December 2023, Earle first crossed paths with Berrios at a party in Miami in February 2023. Reflecting on the meeting, Earl’s first impression of the Miami Dolphins player was that “he’s super cool, super nice,” she said in the episode. Two weeks after they met, he invited her to the Super Bowl, and they repeatedly ran into one another at parties throughout the weekend. Earle, however, stressed that they were “nothing but friends,” especially due to her uncertainty about his relationship status.

March 21, 2023: Circulating Rumors

The following month, Earle first hinted that she might be dating someone. In a GRWM video on TikTok, she told her followers that she’s making sushi for dinner with someone special—although she didn’t disclose his name, and none of her followers mentioned Berrios. “You're probably wondering why I'm getting ready," Earle said in the video. "I'm making it with someone I met the other night." 

In the podcast episode that she released in December 2023, Earle revealed that Berrios asked her out in March—confirming the rumors that circulated. “We went out,” she told her listeners. “That was our helicopter date.” This was around the same time that Sophia Culpo, Berrios’ former girlfriend, confirmed her breakup with the professional football player.

April 2023: An Anonymous Revelation

DeuoxMoi, the celebrity gossip account, posted an anonymous message in April 2023 on its Instagram Story, revealing that Earle and Berrios were spotted looking cozy together at a party, which fueled the rumors about their alleged relationship.

May 5, 2023: A Public Sighting

For the first time, Earle and Berrios were seen in public together. According to a TikTok video that a fan posted when she met Earle, the two were at a restaurant together in Miami.

May 2023: Graduation Festivities

When Earle graduated from the University of Miami in May 2023, Berrios reportedly attended the milestone event. An eagle-eyed fan noticed that the Miami Dolphins player was holding up a graduation photo of Earle at a party that Earle attended with her friends and family during the graduation festivities.

On June 9, 2023, Earle and Berrios were seen at the Miami Heat game together. Later in June, Earle took her TikTok followers along with her to the Hamptons. In one video that documented her travel day, some fans noticed that a man’s arm was in many of the clips, but when someone asked, “Who’s hand is this a soft launch??” Earle said, “Some random guy HAHAH.” In another video, Earle was seen hugging a man (whose face was concealed), and when another TikToker exclaimed, “HARD LAUNCH HARD LAUNCH,” Earle clarified, “We’re not even ‘dating’ but just hard for me to not share stuff w u guys hahahaha.”

June 28, 2023: An At-Home Hangout

Less than a week later, Earle gave her followers a glimpse into another date night with the mystery man, who viewers assumed was Berrios. As the two of them prepared shish kebabs, his face was never shown, but viewers could see a glimpse of his arm while he was cutting steak and his back while Earle was hugging him.

July 12, 2023: A Red Carpet Debut

Earle and Berrios seemingly confirmed their relationship status when they walked the red carpet together—hand in hand—at the 2023 ESPY Awards. In one of her famous GRWM videos ahead of the award show, Earle revealed that she’s taking a plus-one. “You guys can probably guess who I’m going with,” she said in the clip.

July 27, 2023: Denied Dating Rumors

In an interview with People, an insider clarified that the social media influencer and the professional athlete weren’t an item, despite their red carpet appearance. “Maybe in traditional Hollywood terms, that could be interpreted as a 'hard launch' of a relationship—that’s not what it was at all," the source stressed. "Both have continued to keep things casual. The two have always agreed they were not exclusive or official."

September 20, 2023: Addressed Cheating Allegations

While appearing on an episode of Alex Cooper’s podcast, Call Her Daddy, Earle addressed all of the public scrutiny surrounding her relationship with Berrios. Cooper asked the TikTok star if the accusations that she was a “mistress” or “homewrecker”—names people called her after assuming she was romantically involved with Berrios while he was dating Culpo—were true (even though Cooper didn’t reveal names). “It is so triggering to even hear you say that,” Earle revealed. “When I was reading these comments, I was bawling my eyes out to my friends… No, they were not together.”

September 24, 2023: An NFL Spectator

Berrios posted a photo with Earle at one of his NFL games at Hard Rock Stadium. In the Instagram post, Earle is seen wearing a Dolphins jersey with Berrios’ name on it and hugging the athlete on the sidelines. After months of sightings and speculation, Earle confirmed her relationship with Berrios. While she was doing a live Call Her Daddy podcast in Chicago, Earle told Cooper she’s taken. “We’ve gotta ask the question and get to the tea, right here!” Cooper exclaimed. “Alix, do you have a boyfriend?” While beaming, Earle confirmed, “I mean, yes.”
