When setting the table for a fall wedding, you have plenty of options in terms of colors and styles. But one thing is for certain: You want to draw your guests' attention to the center of the table. After all, fall is a time of social gatherings with family and friends—and if you think about it, that's exactly what your wedding is. That's where your centerpieces come in.

The No. 1 rule for centerpieces is to keep them low to the table. Why? So your guests can actually socialize and make contact with the people across from them. From there, the rest is really up to you, but, as we said, there are a number of questions to be answered: Candles or no candles? Crimson red or burnt orange flowers? Take the creative ideas and color palettes as your starting point, and then customize away for your style, your party, and your venue.

Keep reading for fall wedding centerpieces we love and start thinking about how you're going to dress your autumnal dinner table.

Scatter Stone Fruits

Fall is a season for farmers market runs and harvest moons, so why not incorporate that sentiment into your table centerpieces? This arrangement of dried hydrangeas and pale pink roses looks especially striking next to a bundle of pears. The fruit picks up accents from the floral centerpiece to create a cohesive aesthetic.

Focus on Fall Foliage

Bright leaves may seem like an obvious choice for fall wedding décor, but that doesn't make them any less perfect. We love the texture that leaves add to an arrangement; in fact, you can think of them as your seasonal greenery. This centerpiece also makes a case for pairing a bright arrangement with a dark tablecloth for a little pop!

Bring in Bright Blooms

Yes, bright pink flowers can work for fall. Take this bundle of fresh blooms in shades of pinks and reds for example. It feels fresh and modern thanks to the flowers' warm undertones, the berry accents, and the table setting in general. Seriously, a bare wooden base and copper accents are all you need.

Arrange Mini Pumpkins

Again, pumpkins may be an expected choice, but this example is anything but. The setup feels surprising for many reasons—with the first being that the pumpkins are painted in a mixture of both muted and metallic tones. The balance is striking, as is the bundled styling. The more, the merrier, right?

For a more unexpected approach, you can substitute gourds, squashes, and other seasonal picks to create an organic setting.

Add Unique Cloches

The cloche is a centerpiece trend that's here to stay, as couples (and florists alike) love creating a mini showcase of special blooms. Translate this design for your table by mixing jars of various heights with votive candles for a romantic look that's full of texture.

Incorporate Deep-Hued Accents

We're generally obsessed with this combination of colors and textures. For fall, forget a tight arrangement of roses and create something like this with chocolate cosmos and dark, berry-colored accents. The figs are also a welcome addition!

Feature Ferns

Hearty and full, ferns inject a vibrant verve of green into any lush tablescape. Plus, the frilly plants deliver a whole lot of texture for being relatively easy on the budget compared to other fall foliage. These fern centerpieces stunned with the addition of Spanish moss, white florals, and dried grape wood vines.

This styling is definitely not part of some Gatsby-esque celebration. No, this feather-adorned centerpiece feels rustic yet elevated thanks to the browning foliage, yellow roses, and artichokes in the arrangement—along with the gold accents and dark-hued tablecloth.

Warm Up With Copper Elements

When it comes to metals, copper just seems to innately embody all that the season has to offer. These copper chargers and vases pair exquisitely with the saturated autumnal hues of the dahlias, zinnias, cosmos, and golden ferns. Crystal-cut glassware and gold accents create a tablescape that's the very essence of divine fall opulence.

Feel free to mix metals for an earthy tablescape. Copper, brass, and certain hues of gold can pair well together for a luxe, old-world look.

A candlelit glow is a must for any wedding celebration but even more so for a decadent, fall fête. Lean into the season's indulgent profile by forgoing the usual white tapers for deep navy, brooding burgundy, or moody black options. These soft taupe additions add just the right amount of depth to the otherwise neutral palette of sages and ivories.

Combine Colors

Don't be afraid to mix and match those colorful tapers, either. The more the fall color, the greater the depth and decadence of a centerpiece. The pink and marigold combination at this moody, Victorian-inspired wedding in New Orleans is practically bursting with the sweetness of the season. We love how the colors complement the flowers and napkins, too.

Consider Vintage Birdcages

This centerpiece idea is quite similar to the previously mentioned cloche idea, but just so much more. Vintage birdcages harken back to a gilded era of romance and inject a hefty dose of drama. This brass wire design looks picture-perfect housing sprigs of eucalyptus and crimson florals highlighted by the warm glow of dove gray pillar candles.

Another way to incorporate autumn's signature dark tones is through the glassware. These saturated goblets pick up the deep burgundy and ripe blush tones in the floral centerpieces beautifully, creating a cohesive total look that really makes an impact. We love how traditional crystal-cut glasses add some contrast and levity.

No, not the bright red winter berries that resound of the holiday season. These spicy berries come in orange and yellow sunset tones that create a stunning blend when tucked amongst the soft florals and trailing greenery of early fall. Such a simple vehicle for transitioning from those late summer centerpieces into the bounty of autumn.

While powdery pinks and soft greens always have us feeling springtime fine, it's the dusty hues of autumn that emit all the cozy vibes. These delightfully bruised colors of persimmon- and paprika-toned blossoms emanate all the warmth of the gold accents and soothing flames surrounding them. The deep greenery and bare wood add grounding to the scene.

The homegrown comforts and laid-back simplicity of all things rustic embody the very essence of the season. While an all-out rustic bash is the style of choice for some, a few well-chosen accents can also make a statement. These chipped candlesticks evoke a sentimental note while complementing the lemon-colored velvet linens, organic floral centerpiece, and bounty of foraged fruit.

This tablescape incorporates all of the softness from the plush silk linens in inky black to the fluffy textures in the jewel-toned centerpiece of amaryllis, pomegranates, garden roses, and greens.

Airy blushes aren't only for warmer weather. With dusty undertones and deeper, mauve-tinged hues, they make for a stunningly soft fall color scheme. This romantic vista draws on it in spades, incorporating the color everywhere from the runner to the linens to the wild-looking centerpieces of pampas grass, asparagus fern, roses, pussy willow, and anthurium. The bare table and brass pieces add just enough depth to keep the theme grounded and supple.

Can't choose just one fall color? With so many rich and decadent tones to pick from, we don't blame you. The good news is: You don't have to! In lieu of one punchy hue, this playful Big Sur wedding created a full-blown gradient of autumnal gold with bundles of carnations in taupe, rust, and dusty pink.

Chocolate cosmos, mauve garden roses, saffron lisianthus, scarlet scabiosa, and burgundy dahlias carry all the spicy notes of fall festivities. Hints of brown velvet, gilded accents, fresh pears, succulent figs, and additional décor in eggplant and lilac complete the opulent, Dutch masters-inspired scene.

Add in a fall floral arrangement consisting of peppergrass, lisianthus, heuchera, sage, scabiosa, and honey dijon roses for the perfect setup. Together, both elements help to create a centerpiece reminiscent of the season's changing foliage.

Display Dried Flowers

Fresh blooms are a forever favorite, but fall's moody disposition lends itself nicely to using dried flowers. With faded colors and unexpected textures, dried stems, twigs, and plants of all kinds can fill out a rustic autumnal tablescape with all sorts of autumnal attitude. This blue tablescape looks picture-perfect with the sculptural display of golden fern at the black-tie wedding in Oregon.
