The morning of your wedding can be, well, stressful. Between getting your hair and makeup done, slipping on your dress, and ensuring that the rest of the day is scheduled to go as planned, there are a lot of logistical elements to manage. As a result, one of the most important to-dos—eating breakfast—may easily be forgotten or missed. If you find yourself stuck on what to eat or what to serve your bridal party, we've got you covered with these wedding breakfast ideas.

Eating a nutrient-rich breakfast helps you reach your body's daily nutritional needs, says Valerie Agyeman, a registered dietitian. "An ideal breakfast should consist of protein, fiber-backed carbohydrates, and better-for you fats to sustain energy," she adds. "I love including ingredients in my breakfast like cottage cheese, avocado, white beans, whole-grain breads, chia seeds, and walnuts."

Remember: There aren't rules when it comes to wedding breakfast ideas. If something you typically eat for lunch (like a turkey sandwich) sounds like the perfect way to kick off your day, that's what you should reach for. It's all about getting the nutrients you need to power you through your wedding day. And while it's natural to gravitate toward the sugary foods that you love, such as juice and cereals with limited nutrients, try to keep them to a minimum to avoid a post-breakfast sugar crash, Agyeman advises.

Meet the Expert

And don't forget about lunch. "On wedding days, we recommend both breakfast and lunch options since getting ready can span several hours," says Aimee Griffin, owner of A. Griffin Events. Putting together a spread for you and your wedding party to enjoy while having your hair and makeup done can make all the difference. Ready to prep a list of go-to foods for your day-of? Read on for 32 wedding breakfast ideas that you and your bridal party can enjoy while getting ready.
