The debut of Israeli designer Galia Lahav’s Spring 2025 collections (for Galia Lahav Couture and GALA by Galia Lahav) during Bridal Fashion Week was one for the books—in addition to introducing glamorous wedding dress decked out in floral appliqués and sparkly accents, the show featured a surprise proposal for one of the models. The presentation, which took place on April 4, 2024, highlighted two new lines by the famed designer—who’s a favorite with celebrity brides—and each one is perfect for anyone who wants a glitzy look with a blend of romance and boldness on their big day.

Galia Lahav Couture unveiled “The Stunners,” which seeks inspiration from the Pre-Raphaelites, a secret society of young artists founded in London in 1848. Lahav and Sharon Sever, the head designer, wanted to reflect the individuality, style, and personality of these trailblazing creatives, resulting in Victorian-inspired gowns with a contemporary spin.

If you’re looking for a blend of vintage fashion and daring details, consider browsing this collection. One wedding dress, Rosemary, for example, has the voluminous silhouette of the traditional garb during that time period, yet the removable high neck and full skirt are infused with modernity and allure due to the semi-sheer detailing and eye-catching floral accents. Another gown, Anais, pays homage to the era with intricate lace fabric, yet the mermaid silhouette, structured corset, and sweeping overskirt add a dramatic flair.

Lahav also presented her Spring 2025 collection for GALA, "Symphony," which includes designs that capture the slow, fluid process of flowers blooming. To celebrate this natural phenomenon, the gowns aptly feature botanical embroidery, gleaming sparkles, and soft silhouettes, evoking romance and modern elegance. For instance, one dress, Breeze, is a strapless A-line getup showcasing laser-cut 3D lace leaf across the garment. The movable skirt and nature-focused adornments are ideal for garden soirées in the spring or summer. Some are composed of sleek fabrics and effortless fits, resembling a soft petal. Heidy, for example, is a satin ball gown with draped shoulders and elegant folds, perfect for glamorous ballroom functions.

While Lahav was sharing her work with the public, a model’s boyfriend spontaneously hopped up on the elevated surface to give his girlfriend a kiss. As the members of the crowd admired the couple, before they knew it, he got down on one knee and pulled out a ring. The model, who was wearing a lace Galia Lahav wedding dress with an open back, appeared shocked and delighted, even bending over in disbelief. She eventually said “yes,” sealing the deal with a peck, while everyone shouted and cheered.
