Guests Roar With Laughter as Sister Reads Groom's Elaborate Proposal Plan He Made at Age 9 in Viral Wedding Video: "I Am a Multi-Billionaire Who Is Madly in Love With You"

When you’re getting ready to propose to your partner, you may spend weeks (or even months!) planning the perfect spot to pop the question. Maybe you ask them on your annual family vacation or take them to the restaurant where you went on your first date. However, for one groom, he knew exactly what his proposal plans would be—at the ripe age of nine. In a now viral TikTok video, his sister, Hope Carew, read off his detailed scheme at his recent nuptials. 

“Found my brother’s proposal plans from when he was 9,” the text on the video says. “I saved them for a decade to read at his wedding.” Carew begins telling the elaborate scheme to her brother’s wedding guests. “We are 25, and I am a multi-billionaire,” she reads, as the listeners burst into cheers and laughter. “I am a multi-billionaire who is madly in love with you. Number one: Cincinnati to Cabo San Lucas. It is midnight, and I take you onto our private jet. You wake up while we are in the air, and I don’t tell you where we are, but I kiss you and tell you I have everything taken care of. We get there and then I give you my credit card.” In the middle of the sister’s retelling, the video cuts over to the bride and groom, seen hunched over in laughter at the sweetheart table. 

“And tell you to do whatever you want but to be back at the hotel by seven o’clock,” Carew reads. “When you get back, I’m not there but the butlers escort you down to the beach where I am waiting with a romantic blanket set up and wine. We drink a few glasses then begin to make out…..The next day, we leave for another location on my yacht. Number two: Cabo San Lucas to French Polynesia. On the yacht, we have a very romantic time, three hearts.” The sister then turns the framed plan toward the guests to show the drawn symbols. “Then, when we get there, I buy you a ton of pearls.” Carew pauses before turning to the bride and adding: “And Alyss, I think you’re going to want this part framed.” 

She continues reading. “Then, I buy you whatever you want and obey your every command.” Upon hearing this line, wedding guests immediately start cheering as Carew stands back and smiles. “Number three: French Polynesia to Paris,” she says. “Today, we leave on the yacht and we do romantic stuff. Then, we land in Paris, and I take you all around Paris in a Rolls Royce. I buy you everything.” Carew pauses for a second. “We also have a nice picture of their journey,” she mentions to the crowd, pointing to her brother’s sketch on the paper. “This will be on display.” She soon continues her retelling. “Then, I take you to the top of the Eiffel Tower and ask ‘Will you marry me?’ with a $130 million diamond ring.” At this moment, the video shows the bride raising her jewel, as the groom bends over in laughter. “You say yes and then we go back to our hotel and have lots of romance.” 

With six million views and over a million likes on the now viral video, TikTokers quickly fell in love with the groom and his elaborate proposal plans. “But the fact that at 9 he wanted to be able to give his future wife the world is everything,” one user commented. Some were also impressed by his itinerary-building skills. “Wait he has transportation, destination wine & dine all planned out at NINE!?,” one person added. “It’s so on brand for him too because he still plans all of our trips to this day,” Carew replied.
