I Wore 2024’s Biggest Heel Trend for My Engagement Photos and Was Actually Comfortable

207 days. That’s how close I am to getting married to the love of my life—and I can’t wait. The fairytale venue has been secured, gals have been asked to stand by my side, and the white dress is being made as we speak. Every last detail matters, including the shoes that may or may not be seen from under my wedding gown. Thankfully, I have a pretty good contender: the Steve Madden Bri Pumps.

The 4-inch heel was also practical, never causing me to tumble, even while jumping into a cheesy hold-and-kiss pose. The superhero feature that made it all possible? The trusty slingback strap. 

The back strap stretched to hug my foot perfectly, providing a secure fit that saved me from having a Cinderella moment. It’s no wonder why slingback heels are one of 2024's hottest shoe trends, with stars like Kylie Jenner, Anne Hathaway, Kate Middleton, and Reese Witherspoon reaching for the style on repeat.
