Demi Moore and Bruce Willis were married in 1987 after a whirlwind romance, and though they went their separate ways in 1997 and finalized their divorce in 2000, the pair have remained close—and were committed to co-parenting their three children—in the years since. So, what did Demi do with her engagement ring after they split? Ultimately, though we don't have a final answer, we can take an educated guess.

Let's go back to the beginning: Demi Moore and Bruce Willis first met during a screening of Stakeout in 1997, People reports. Four months later, on November 21, 1997, the duo wed at the Golden Nugget hotel in Las Vegas, Nevada. "We were moving to the gambling tables when Bruce said, 'I think we should get married.' We'd been joking about it on the flight there, but suddenly it didn't seem like he was kidding," Demi wrote in her memoir, Inside Out. One month later, they invited family members and friends to watch them exchange vows in a larger wedding officiated by musician Little Richard.

Though there's no word on when Bruce popped the question (or if he did at all!), photos of the couple following their first wedding in Las Vegas showcase a prominent ring on the fourth finger of Demi's left hand. Based on a little sleuthing, it appears that Bruce gave his bride a sizable cushion- or  Asscher-cut diamond engagement ring set in a platinum or white gold band. She also appears to have a chunky wedding band that she paired with her engagement ring.

Over the course of their relationship, the couple welcomed three daughters: Rumer Willis, Scout Willis, and Tallulah Willis. Because the couple split on good terms—they even quarantined together during the pandemic!—there's no reason to believe that Demi didn't keep her engagement ring from Bruce. More than likely, she kept it for one of her daughters to inherit in the future. So, who could have the ring right now? The most obvious answer is Tallulah, who designer her own engagement ring to partner Dillon Buss in 2021, Hello! reports. That bauble featured what is reported to be an eight-carat Asscher-cut diamond, which very well could be the same center stone that was once in her mother's engagement ring from her father. Unfortunately, Tallulah and Dillon called it quits in 2022, and that ring's whereabouts are otherwise unknown.

If her ring did not feature the very same stone, odds are good that Demi is still holding onto the diamond (and maybe even the entire setting) for one of her children to have in the future. Following their 1997 separation, Demi does not appear to wear a ring on the important finger again until she gets engaged to Ashton Kutcher, which happened at some point between their meeting in 2003 and their wedding in 2005.

Interestingly, Demi took a very different path with her engagement ring from Ashton following their official split in 2011. According to Business Recorder, Demi sold the five-carat emerald-cut diamond engagement ring from the actor in 2013, which fetched a whopping $250,000.
