Wearing couture just got easier! Rent the Runway, a subscription-based service that allows shoppers to rent and buy luxury clothing and accessories, officially expanded its platform to include couture garments. This new offering, The Vault, is a curated collection of gowns from some of the most well-respected designers in the fashion industry. Best of all, The Vault has a diverse assortment of formalwear ensembles that are perfect for guests and mothers of the bride and groom who are searching for unique and unforgettable wedding day looks.

Founded in 2009 by Jennifer Hyman, Rent the Runway quickly changed the fashion space by opening up the luxury market to those with limited access to certain designer clothing. (Not to mention, they also found a sustainable solution for single-wear fashion waste.) Now, Hyman is back at it again with an option for women who love couture but don't want to break the bank for their black-tie events.

“We’re thrilled to offer our most premium assortment of designer evening wear yet through the launch of The Vault on RTR," shares Hyman. "Weddings have always been such a major part of our event rental business and it’s no surprise why—it costs more to attend a wedding than ever, so why buy a dress you’ll only wear once? This launch takes that value prop to new heights, with gowns available up to an $8,000 original retail price, allowing you to make a red carpet statement without the red carpet price tag.”

Shoppers can select dresses from brands like Oscar de la Renta, Brandon Maxwell, Giambattista Valli, Etro, Prabal Gurung, and Zac Posen, within a rental price range of $30 to $400 (retail prices range from $250 to $8,990). "I was truly motivated to collaborate with Rent the Runway's The Vault because it perfectly aligns with our vision at Prabal Gurung. Rent the Runway's innovative approach to fashion rental isn't just about providing access to luxury; it's about creating extraordinary experiences for a diverse, aspirational customer base," shares designer Prabal Gurung. "We believe in the power of fashion to transform moments in people's lives, and by offering our luxury eveningwear through Rent the Runway, we're not only reaching new hearts but also building a profound connection with our brand through these unforgettable, experiential moments."
